Meet Vivi Nadine Jessica

Vivi is my 2nd Boston Terrier. Elsa, the one rescued from a puppy mill, came into my life when she was 2 years old. Already very skiddish, never been walked on a leash, and had a lot of what one might call PTSD in dogs. Sadly, Elsa became ill and 9 days later she died. I sent her body off for necropsy and the results were a cancerous brain tumor. I purchased Vivi 2 months later from a private breeder.

It was love at first sight - isn't it always with BTs? I had the name Vivi chosen and picked the first name to pop into my head as her middle name. The "Jessica" came from my son. He's high-functioning autistic and ADHD and requested Jessica be put into her name - although primarly she's just Vivi Nadine.

Here are some pictures of her over the 2 years I've had her. She has 3 "step-siblings" (as I like to call them) and those are rescues.

Vivi's Stats are:

Birthday: August 25, 21015
Color: Black & white with some brindle
Weight: 19 lbs
Height at withers: 13.5"
Temperament: Very loving, social, and playful. Gets along great with other dogs and cats.
Haggerty Spot: Yes - although it kinda looks like a Koi fish.
Parents' Names: Beauty (dam) and Cash (sire)
Blue-eye Gene: She's a carrier, her father had one blue eye.

Misc.
1. Both Beauty and Cash (her parents) were black and white with some brindle.
2. I did not see Vivi's siblings as she was the last of the litter. 
3. Vivi is not spayed and has not been bred before (07/17).
4. When in heat, she is very accepting of males - her step-brothers are neutered.

Vivi Had a Paw-dicure!

I painted Vivi's nails today! I frequently paint her nails (just her front 2 paws primarily). I admit I woke her up from a nap so she's still sleepy. Her & the canine crew were next to my back door when I took the pictures. They were hoping I'd let them out but it had just rained so....nope, they're going to have to wait a bit. * as always, click on pictures to enlarge Vivi in mid-stretch - pretty nails Vivi with Sookie & Egon behind her. I painted Sookie's today too Sleepy Vivi glaring out the window The color - a darker turquoise. Do you guys paint your dog's nails? What do you use? I also put a good top coat on after the color to help maintain the polish, since the dogs run, dig, etc. A good top coat makes the polish last a lot longer. Up-close of V's paw - ignore my terrible pedicure - I just had surgery & have been unable to go to the salon
