I'm a huge advocate for micro-chipping your pet. My 4 older dogs are micro-chipped already and Rhodie will get micro-chipped at his next vet visit. There's more to it than a "set it and forget it" mentality. 1. You MUST register your pet's microchip number but you do not have to maintain membership. Once registered - your pet will remain registered. 2. You MUST update pictures, information about your pet, your address, etc. 3. You WILL have access to your pet's account regardless of membership. I strongly recommend micro-chipping your pet. In my opinion, if you love your pet & really don't want to lose him/her - do everything in your power to proactively prevent it. But.........if you do not register your microchip number to input your information and your pet's, the microchip is nothing but a set of numbers that go nowhere. 4. So....
